Final Trip Details

Dear
Parents, Carers & Pupils,
With
one week until our ski adventure begins!!! Please find the following final information
for you attention/action:
Departure:
I
received notification yesterday from the organiser to confirm the departure details
for the next trip. The coach company are
conscious that this is a busy day of travel and that traffic may be heavy so to
prevent any chance of us missing our crossing the coach will be arriving at HPS
at 08:00am for loading and departing
at 08:30am. I am aware that this
is a few hours earlier than was stated on the briefing evening, however having
spoken in length to the organiser today I agree that this is best course of
action.
Therefore
please may I ask that all pupils arrive by 08:00am
on Friday 27th March. All
pupils are to report to the front of school and assemble in the community
lounge area where they will be greeted by myself and the trip staff. Staff will be on site by 07:30 to meet any earlier arrivals.
We will load the large luggage on to the coach, complete a final check
of all pupils and documentation before boarding the coach and departing the
school. This timing should also allow
for any parents who wish to see the pupils off to do so without interrupting
the work day heavily.
All
pupils are to travel in comfortable clothing and bring food, snacks and personal
activities for the journey as detailed in the briefing. I will have a final check on Monday with our
admin and finance team to ensure all passports, EHIC cards and monies have been
collected and documented. The trip staff
will take charge of these items and manage their use through the journey and week.
I
have spoken to all departments and any pupils that were due to sit a test or an
examination on Friday 27th will be able to undertake this during the
first week back at school after the Easter break.
Hoodies
& Pupil Meeting
All HPS Ski Pupils are requested to attend a
lunch time meeting in the Arts Theatre at 1pm
on Tues 24th March. We
will issue the trip hoodies at this time and give a final brief about the
journey and general details about the trip.

The Ski Trip Blog is up and running and I have
posted a few information and test blogs already – please keep an eye on this as
we make our way across Europe and though out the week as the staff will update
this with reports and pictures as often as possible – Parents, please feel free
to comment back and will do our best to deliver all messages and give all the
pupils the opportunity to send messages and post blogs throughout the week.

Hi Kris, just wondering if it's too late to add to Pocket money? Also what do they do for food on the return?

ReplyDeleteNo problem.. You can drop money on Weds, Thurs on on the departure day but preferably before.
Ref the return trip, we will have a packed lunch and the opportunity to go shopping and collect snacks as well as plenty of stops on the way and back and we will ensure all are suitably fed :-)
